This school year, Saint Paul Public Schools and the Saint Paul Public Library launch Library Go, a program to provide free public library e-cards for all students.
In April 2015, President Obama announced the ConnectED Library Challenge, calling upon library directors to work with their mayors, school leaders, and school librarians to create or strengthen partnerships so that every child enrolled in school can receive a library card. Library Go is Saint Paul's unique initiative to achieve the goals set forth by the ConnectED Challenge.
All Farnsworth 5-8 students now have a St. Paul Public Library e-card
Every student’s e-card number is 22091600 followed by their student ID number.
Some online resources will ask for a PIN number. Every student’s PIN number is their birth date (MMDDYYYY).
Students can access all of SPPL’s Digital Resources using their LibraryGo e-card.
Students can use their LibraryGo e-card to check out up to 5 books at the public library.
Having a public library e-card connects students to one-on-one online homework help, dozens of research databases, e-books, electronic magazines, and so much more. They are always free, and will be used in their Farnsworth classes.
