Flipside offers a large variety of enrichment opportunities in art, music & dance, language & culture, health & wellness, social growth, leadership & service, and STEM. Our goal is to provide urban youth with opportunities to explore and discover their passions in a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
Afterschool Weather Cancellation Policy
Afterschool may be cancelled due to extreme weather conditions according to the following guidelines:
Afterschool cancellations will be made by 10:00 a.m. on the day of the cancellation.
Flipside is now accepting registration forms for the spring session. Forms will be available in the front office. To be sure your child's transportation is set up, register by January 23rd. Late registration forms will be accepted. All late studentes will recieve notification when their bus routes are set up and given a start date.

Meet Leo Jackson the Flipside Coordinator at American Indian Magnet.
Jackson grew up in Saint Paul's historical Rondo neighborhood. He attended Jackson and Capitol Hill Magnet, while playing youth sports at Jimmy Lee Recreation Center.
The Saint Paul native studied psychology and health education at Florida A&M Univesity in Tallahassee, Florida. While attending the university, he worked as a substitute teacher at the on campus K-12 FAMU Developmantal Research School. Jackson later signed on with the Saint Paul Public Schools. Over the last 6 years, Jackson has worked with the Office of Family Engagement - Parent Academy, Department of Alternative Education - Freedom Schools, and John A. Johnson.
Jackson currently resides in his old neighborhood and is a proud father of three children. During the summer he teaches 6-8 Graders at the Rondo Freedom School. When Jackson is not working in schools he is coaching Jimmy Lee football, basketball, and trainingoff season high school athletes.
Spring Break Teenventure forms are available! Teenventure is an opportunity for students in grades 6-8 to explore college and career options with their friends when school is out! Next trip date is April 4, 5, and 6.
