We encourage our parents to participate in the community at Parkway Montessori and Community Middle School. Below are helpful links:
The 7th Generation National Tribal Mentoring Program is designed to confront high rates of juvenile delinquency in American Indian and Alaskan Native communities. The program’s goals are to: increase the opportunity for youth to connect with caring adults; improve school attendance; decrease youth alcohol and drug use; and decrease youth involvement with courts.
This communication is to inform you that due to some unforeseen circumstances surrounding funding, logistical planning and facilities we will need to reschedule our 8th grade Erdkinder trips this fall. We at Parkway, as well as our partner Voyagers Outward Bound School, are committed to making this event happen, but in the current state we are unable to keep the dates which were initially reserved for us. As a result of this adjustment our community will not be conducting the Erdkinder external field experience this week, September 16-19 and will need to move our experience to the following week, September 23-25 for our first group and later in October for our second group. The adjustment will require some additional paperwork to be completed and Voyagers Outward Bound School has committed to helping us make this change as clear and easy as possible. We will be holding informational sessions with the students later in the week during the school day to ensure everyone knows the new dates, has the proper paperwork, and is given all the accurate information.
