Focus Beyond Transition Services is a special education program that works with young adults ages 18-22 who have unmet special education needs. The program offers on-site seminars and community-based activities and experiences in which students have the opportunity to explore their employment, post-secondary, and independent living skills. Our goal is to increase independence at an individual level, so that the young adults with whom we work can be active members of their community.

Focus Beyond Transition Services works with young adults aged 18-22 who have unmet transition related special education needs.
Focus Beyond provides specialized instruction to meet individual student needs, including communication, self-advocacy, employment readiness, career exploration, relationships, post-secondary planning, and much more.
Our curriculum is based on the National Alliance for Secondary Education and Transition standards to meet the needs of young adults with special education transition goals.
Community-based activities play a huge role in the learning and skills development of students at Focus Beyond.
At Focus Beyond, we offer a diverse range of Work Based Learning opportunities, including over 20 community-based worksites.
