BIG GED NEWS:
If you are a MN resident, testing in MN, and you are not taking a retest, you can use this code to get your tests for FREE through the end of June:
Enter this code at checkout on GED.com.
*This code is valid for tests that will be scheduled and taken in June.*
For tests to be scheduled and taken after July 1, 2016, please use the following code:
*This code will not be active until July 1, 2016. People scheduling tests now for next month will not be able to use the promo code when registering online until July 1, 2016. People will still be able to schedule testing, but they will have to pay for the test.*
The MN Department of Education is subsidizing the tests and there is a limited amount of funds available. Based on current testing trends, the subsidy will likely expire in fall 2016. Once the subsidy runs out, there will be no state subsidy left and testers will have to pay the full testing fee. The full testing fee is $30 for the first test in each subject or $120 per complete battery; retests are $10. We cannot predict exactly when this subsidy will run out and when it does, the subsidy will automatically shut off through GED.com’s system. When the subsidy does run out, it will shut off quickly, before even GEDTS or MDE staff will know.
If you make an appointment for a test using this code and do not show up for your appointment, you will lose your free test for that subject. Your next appointment for that subject will be considered a retest and you will have to pay the retest fee of $10.
These codes are not valid for retests.
We highly recommend taking classes or the GED Ready official practice tests, available at GED.com, to determine if you are ready to take the real GED tests.
